National Sleep Awareness Week - Girl Sleeping More Sunday

Did you know that 2019 Sleep Awareness Week is March 10-16th?

This year's theme is "Begin with Sleep." It's about promoting the importance of healthy sleeping habits to help people achieve their goals.

The National Sleep Foundation has released their 2019 Sleep in America Poll. In summary the poll shows that disciplined sleepers reap rewards.

Key Findings from the Poll:

  • The more routine your sleep schedule is the less you will feel Physically or Emotionally impacted and the less it with impact how well you feel you can Accomplish things if there is a 1 hour departure from your normal sleep schedule.
  • Having a consistent sleep schedule is strongly correlated with feeling well rested the next day. Those with the strictest sleep schedules were 3.5x more likely to feel well rested vs. those with the most varied sleep schedules.
  • To get a better night sleep it isn't just the amount of sleep that we need in a day but it important to have a dedicated sleep and wake schedule. (Yes! This even applies to the weekends.)

In summary, if you want to feel well rested try to set a consistent sleeping and waking time. By feeling your best physically and emotionally you will be in the best state of mind to take steps toward accomplishing all of your goals be it personal, family or professional.

"I can't emphasize how much I love sleeping, lounging and going out in my silk set. Fitted but not tight, both the top and bottom can be worn everyday...and every way. I'm obsessed! The silk is so buttery soft too."
